Together we have raised 180 jars of peanut butter and 540 boxes of Kraft Dinner this winter for our annual food drive. LAF would like to say Thank You to everyone who contributed!
Special thanks to Weight Watchers Windsor for participating and collecting in our food drive and collecting at two locations in Windsor. Your donations were greatly appreciated!
Also, special thanks to CBC for inviting us to be part of the Sounds of the Season food drive. We especially appreciate CBC for allowing us to keep our commitment to our local west end food banks - the St. Vincent de Paul and Windsor Homes Coalition.

This Thursday, December 19th we will be hosting a training session for anyone who wishes to volunteer at the Windsor Spitfires home games at the WFCU Centre.
Life After Fifty (LAF) is happy to support the Windsor Spitfires by providing approximately 20 volunteers (to be ushers and ticket takers) for each home game and then in return, a portion of the ticket proceeds go to LAF to support our programming.
The season is currently part way through, as it began in September and will end in March. The home games occur at the WFCU Centre on Thursday evenings, some Sunday afternoon games and the odd Saturday evening game. Our volunteers are expected to show up approximately 2 hours before the game and we are the last to leave the arena.
Everyone who wishes to volunteer will be required to attend a training session that is provided by the Windsor Spitfires in order to help you learn about the safety rules in the arena. Volunteers will not be able to volunteer at the games until they have completed this required training.
Supporting the Holy Name of Mary Church, St. Vincent de Paul Society and other food banks in West Windsor
Life After Fifty will be collecting Kraft Dinner and Peanut Butter food donations to support our local food banks. In conversations with the kitchens, we learned that Kraft Dinner and Peanut Butter are two of the most expensive items that the food banks regularly purchase. So, Life After Fifty is asking you to clean our your cupboards to support this wonderful cause, especially at this time of year when people need it most.
Donations will be collected at both Life After Fifty locations until Friday, December 13th
For more info on where to find our Life After Fifty locations, see here.
During the next few weeks, different vendors will be coming into the centres to sell their giftware, from Scentsy and more! Tracy, Scentsy representative will be here with Scentsy candles and other wares on Thurs. December 5 and Diane will be here again with a selection of
